Born and raised in Ventura, California, Jake’s roots run deep in music. Growing up in a musical family, he picked up his first guitar at just seven years old and never looked back. Influenced by his father’s rock and country bands — including ‘80s rock outfit Ice Age and the country group Silver Moon — Jake found his voice through storytelling and gritty, emotion-driven songwriting.

Now based in Nashville, Jake Slay is emerging as a powerful new voice in the country-rock space. His sound blends raw Southern grit, rock-driven instrumentation, and lyrics that are both honest and deeply personal. Drawing inspiration from the likes of KISS, Koe Wetzel, Pecos & The Rooftops, and Jason Aldean, Jake’s music hits a wide spectrum of fans — from country purists to rock die-hards.

His discography includes emotionally charged tracks like “You Made the Bed,” “Whiskey Helps,” and “Falling For You.” His newest EP, Message in This Bottle, is a showcase of Jake’s evolution as an artist — filled with stories of heartbreak, growth, and finding light in dark places. Songs like “Room 74” and “Bathroom Stall” reflect his ability to craft vivid moments through music, resonating with anyone who’s lived through love, loss, and the road in between.
